🖤🩵24 days & 65.1 miles still to go!🖤🩵
At the start of the year, I set myself a goal: to run 130 miles in five months. It wasn’t an extreme challenge by any means—but after being advised by doctors to pull out of the Leeds Marathon, it became something meaningful to hold on to.
Between feeling unwell, procrastination, and three rounds of heart monitoring, by the end of March I’d only managed 15 miles. Not ideal 🤦🏼♀️.
So, in classic fashion, I left myself with 115 miles to cover in just 60 days. It’s safe to say I haven’t made it easy—but with some progress in April, I’m now down to 65.1 miles to complete before the end of May.
This isn’t just about running. I’m doing it for Prostate Cancer UK, a charity incredibly close to my heart. My Grandad Ron lost his life to prostate cancer—one of over 12,000 men in the UK taken by it every year. But I’ve also seen the hope this charity brings: my Grandad Alan and my Dad were both diagnosed and, thankfully, are still here today—thanks to the treatments and research Prostate Cancer UK makes possible.
If you’re able to donate—even a small amount—it would mean the world to me and to countless families like mine.
