Liverpool Half Marathon for Elsie’s Story

Liverpool Half Marathon · 23 March 2025 ·
On the 23rd of March, a team of 12 Merseyside Police Officers will be taking on the Liverpool Half Marathon to raise money for Elsie’s Story, a charity set up by the parents of Elsie, one of the young victims of the tragic events in Southport on the 29th of July 2024.
Eight of us attended the incident that day, however, the effects were felt throughout Merseyside Police. We want to honour the strength and resilience of Elsie’s family and support the incredible work they are doing in her name. Elsie’s Story helps children and young people affected by trauma, ensuring they get the support they need to move forward.
For most of us, running a half marathon is completely out of our comfort zone—some of us have never run at all—but if putting ourselves through 13.1 miles can help raise money for this incredible cause, then it’s absolutely worth it.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, we’d be incredibly grateful. Every penny goes towards helping young people in need, ensuring Elsie’s legacy is one of hope and support.
Thank you.
