Story

Hi, my name is Phillip, and this year I’ll be playing for the Barbarians in the All Stars Charity Game with one clear goal: to raise money for Welsh Blood Bikes, a charity that holds deep personal meaning for me and my family.

In June 2022, my brother-in-law Stuart suddenly and unexpectedly passed away in his sleep. It was a devastating loss. Stuart had a huge love for driving and, from a young age, especially loved being on his motorbike. Not long before he sadly died, he had treated himself to a brand-new BMW motorcycle, something he was incredibly proud of.

One thing Stuart often talked about — and something he would have absolutely loved to do — was to volunteer for the Blood Bikes, helping to deliver blood, medical supplies, samples, and medication across the country to support those in need. That passion to help others has stayed with us.

So this year, I’m putting on my skates and doing my bit to honour Stuart’s memory by raising money for this incredible charity.

Welsh Blood Bikes rely entirely on dedicated volunteers who give their time, skills, and vehicles to support hospitals and patients when it matters most.

Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to me and my family. Your support will help honour Stuart, celebrate the volunteers who give so much of themselves, and ensure this vital service can continue helping others when they need it most.

Thank you so much for reading, donating, and sharing 💙
