RUNNING AROUND DORSET: 43 for 43 Challenge
I’m taking on a Christmas 2025 challenge in support of HealthBus, which offers specialist healthcare to homeless women. Due to unforeseen circumstances with weather and safety at the forefront of our minds, there has a small change to the challenge, as I will be running 43 kilometres each day instead of miles.
43 for 43 is my challenge
I’ll be running 43 kilometres a day for 5 days in a row over Christmas. I’m doing this to raise vital awareness and funds for HealthBus, a local charity providing healthcare and hope to people experiencing homelessness, with a particular focus on women living on the streets.
Target
£4,300
Why 43?
Because the average age of death for a woman living on the streets of Dorset is just 43 years old. That shocked me – and it’s why I chose 43 kilometres and a fundraising target of £4,300.
Over 5 days, I’ll cover 215 kilometres, throughout Dorset. I also wanted to highlight the reality of sleeping outside. Running that distance is tough, but it’s nothing compared to what many women face every single night. You’ll see me experience only a tiny fraction of their daily struggle.
I’ll be running right through Christmas Day and Boxing Day, without the usual festive comforts, gifts, or big Christmas dinners. This year, your gift of giving would be my Christmas present of choice. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
