Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you are aware, I am an Ambassador and active fundraiser for Acorns Children's Hospice, a local charity in Birmingham, Walsall & Worcestershire. In 2023, I crossed the Sahara Desert, in 2022 I did a Skydive of 10,500 feet, and in other years I have walked broken glass, and also walked over hot coals raising tens of thousands to date! I am prepared to try most things to help raise vital funds for this charity, and this May I am crossing the Great Wall of China!

The thing is, while taking part is important to me, I cannot do it without the heartfelt support of sponsors and donations from good people like you. Therefore, I would be most grateful if you can help me reach my target by pledging a donation, either through you personally, or through a company you may be a representative of.

I was a reserve on the trek list but my dear friend and amazing artist, Rachel Akers, who I had been helping to fundraise can no-longer attend and has asked me to step in to complete the challenge. I know Rachel is very disappointed not to be going but I relish the opportunity and promise to see the fundraising through and deliver on the goal. I believe Rachel had already raised circa £2,700, with the help of Bootcamp Media, Southall Harris and many more, and I plan to at least match that! I have paid £495 myself for the flight and visa so everything raised goes straight to Acorns Children’s Hospice 🧡

Please remember to allow 'Gift Aid' meaning the government gives the extra 25% of your donation money, instead of taxing it!

I thank you for this support and shall keep you posted on the progress. Please feel free to add any message of support when donating.
