... because we're not competitive brothers at all...
Indeed, as we have found ourselves together in Dubai this year for work, we have [rashly] agreed to enter into the "Burj to Burj" half marathon this weekend to settle, once and for all, who is the fastest Duthie brother.
To help fan the flame of that competitive spirit - and perhaps give William a chance of winning something - we are hoping to raise some money for the team at Benaiah Woman's Centre, a charity organisation that provides a safe and supportive residential environment to allow women to follow a year long programme to escape drug and alcohol addiction.
Our Ma has worked full time at the centre for many years, allowing us to see first hand the life changing work that these miraculous people do; providing a safe space for women (even with infants) to recover from substance abuse and come back to life from the most tragic of circumstances. We are constantly blown away by the selfless dedication of the team at Benaiah in how they help others and would like to something to help them even in a small way.
So with that in mind... We would be very grateful for any donation that you might be able to provide, obviously indicating which team you are on - Phil or Will - in order to encourage sibling rivalry to the point that we burst our lungs or tear a meniscus to deliver you victory.
Very much obliged,
Phil & Will Duthie
