On 26th September I’ll be taking on the Honister Adrenaline Pass in the Lake District to raise money for Leyland Trucks Helping Hand.

Helping Hand is a charity run by employees of Leyland Trucks, supporting local charities, families and individuals who need help within the wider community. The money it raises goes back into supporting local good causes and people going through difficult or life-changing circumstances.

For anyone who knows me, you’ll know that I really don’t like heights – so this is going to be a genuine challenge!

The day starts with the Infinity Bridge, suspended around 1,000ft above the valley floor, before heading into the mountain for a series of climbs, rope bridges, zip lines and other obstacles. And just when I think I’ve survived it, I have to finish with a 30-metre freefall jump!

I’m aiming to raise £1,000, so any sponsorship, however large or small, would be very much appreciated.

I suspect I’m going to regret agreeing to this when I’m standing on that bridge…
