Story
I personally thank you for taking your time to look at my JustGiving page and hope that you will be able to support me with a donation to this charity which is very close to my heart.
I have just turned the ripe young age of 70 years old and retired from being the Vicar of 7 local village parishes as well as Chair of Governors for one of the village schools. To start my retirement with a leisurely dip of my toe in the water and having some hours on my hands, I am going to cycle the 420 miles from Bilbao to Santiago Pilgrimage route in Northern Spain to help raise money for Prior's Court Foundation which is as I have said, is very dear to me.
Prior’s Court is an Autism charity dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with complex autism. It can be difficult to know what having complex autism is like - 85% of our service users are pre-verbal and therefore are unable to communicate their wants, needs and emotions. On average, sufferers have at least four other diagnosable conditions. These young individuals experience extreme anxiety, which psychologically and physically impacts their quality of life. All these young vulnerable people at Prior’s Court have, as a minimum, one-to-one care.
You will be able to follow me on social media and see my route/daily escapades/blisters and the beautiful scenery as well as meet the friends I encounter along the way.
I hope that you will be able to support me in raising as much as I can for this very special school. I have set myself a target of £5000 and would love to achieve this with your help.
