Story
In October 2026, I’ll be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for Home-Start South Warwickshire — a fantastic local charity supporting families with young children through really challenging times.
This will be my first big running event since injuring my knee, so it’s definitely going to be a huge challenge… but I’m determined to take it on for a cause that does such important work locally.
Home-Start supports parents who may be facing isolation, mental health struggles, financial pressure, or the very real overwhelm that can come with raising small children. Their trained volunteers work alongside families in their own homes, offering practical and emotional support when it’s needed most — helping build confidence, resilience, and a more stable start for children.
It’s the kind of early support that can genuinely change a family’s future, and it relies heavily on donations to continue.
So, in exchange for months of training, physio exercises I’ll definitely complain about, and 13.1 miles on race day, I’m hoping to raise as much as possible for this brilliant cause.
If you’re able to donate, thank you so much — every contribution truly helps Home-Start support families who need it most. And if not, encouragement, snacks, and reminders that I chose to do this are also very welcome.
Thank you 💜🧡
