Story

Phoebe and Louise are taking on a 26 mile hike in the Peak District to raise money for those living with cancer, and in memory of those we've lost along the way.

Phoebe - I'm doing this hike in memory of my dad. He was an avid walker, even wrote a bloody book on it! For miles I followed behind him, in all weathers. I hope this time he is walking along side us with his pork pies and highlighted ordnance survey.

Me and Louise have grown up walking and it feels really special to do this to help people who are still suffering.

Louise - I'm walking in memory of Chris, a close family friend and in memory of my late mum. Chris used to organise charity walks in memory of my mum when I was growing up. One of my last memories of Chris involved her skipping and singing in the countryside. Chris was a beautiful soul, and I will be thinking of her every step of the way. Chris often went walking with my parents and her husband, Rick. They all loved the outdoors and Chris helped to keep my mums memory alive, now I'm doing the same for her. Me and Phoebe made so many special memories walking with our dads, and now we will continue this tradition of walking in the Peak District. I dedicate this walk also to Phoebe's dad John, who no doubt will be telling us to stop being 'a jessie' as we struggle along the way.

We can't bring those we've lost back, but we can try to help those who still have a journey to take.
