Story
This December, I’m taking on my own Test Your Edge for OSCAR challenge. While I couldn’t join the Himalayan Trek, I’ve decided instead to run to work from the start of December until Christmas Day, which I’ll be working! The route is just over 7.5 km, following scenic (and often muddy!) trails along Chichester Harbour, as I commute from Bosham to Dell Quay — whatever the weather brings!
Once I reach the Crown & Anchor Pub, I’ll swap my running shoes for work shoes and crack on with shifts of up to 12 hours (probably fuelled by a lot of coffee!)
I’d love your support in raising funds for OSCAR’s Girls Programme, which helps young girls in Mumbai gain confidence, leadership skills, and access to education through football.
I first volunteered with OSCAR back in January 2020, just before the pandemic hit, and fundraised by running the TATA half-marathon in Mumbai. I spent time learning how the OSCAR’s Girls and Boys Programmes operate, and I saw first-hand the incredible impact that education and sport can have in empowering young people from underprivileged communities.
Since then, I’ve remained passionate about supporting OSCAR’s mission and want to raise awareness, especially for their Girls Programme, helping more young women in India access opportunities they deserve. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference.
I am going back to visit OSCAR in Mumbai at the end of January 2026, which coincides with their Annual Football Day and Republic Day Celebrations!
Thank you for all your support!!
