Story
My name is Phoxx. I was Phoebe's human and she was the better part of my soul. My moon, my stars, my calm in the never-ending storm of living as a neurodivergent adult in a world that wasn't designed for me.
My happiest moments with her were always travelling and hiking, shortly before she passed she became my first ever pillion passenger on my motorcycle and I have never again experienced the same heart-warming joy as I did that day.
I got Pheebs when she was 6 months old and until she was 13 years old, she was my entire world. She came everywhere with me, sat with me through various bouts of abusive situations and helped me get up every morning even when I could barely face the idea of doing so.
Since she passed on June 7th 2024, exactly 1 month after her 13th birthday, my life hasn't been the same. I've had to learn to cope with how to emotionally regulate myself during being overwhelmed, how to bring myself down from a meltdown and even how to see the light in the darkness.
It became very apparent that due to work and general life commitments, I had never truly allowed myself to process my grief so I have begun planning a solo motorcycle trip to trace the coast of Scotland.
This will be the longest trip that I have ever undertaken on 2 wheels. I'll be taking Pheebs with me to spread a portion of her ashes in all the most beautiful spots I find along the way.
I will not be using hotels during my trip, only camping next to my motorcycle wherever possible so I need to be sure that I have planned correctly to ensure adequate stops, correct equipment and even snacks to keep me going.
My entire trip, both the planning and execution, will be documented on my TikTok channel (@phoxxwheels) and while I'm doing so, I've decided to raise money for the Border Collie Trust based in Rugeley
Founded in 1996 and rescuing Border Collies and collie crosses since then from their rescue centre in Staffordshire. In 25 years the Trust has rehomed over 9500 collies, so to help them continue their incredible I will be donating any money raised on this page as well as any money raised via my social media pages to go towards food, toys, treats, vet fees and absolutely anything else else they could possibly need.
Thanks for reading my life story.... stay tuned for updates including dates that I'll be doing my trip, challenges I face and much more!
