On May 25th I turn 40 and in honour of the new decade I'm entering I want to look to where I came from and honour it by giving something meaningful back.

I'm asking you to support me in raising my target of £400 (or more) for the Tatiana Giraud Foundation, as a bid to support their phenomenal work with female survivors of sexual violence in Congo. You may or may not be aware that sexual violence is used as a weapon of war against the bodies of women and girls, to serve the political and power-hungry ambitions of corrupt organisations and militia. The TG foundation is a UK registered charitable trust that has helped victims of rape, sexual violence, displacement, war and malnutrition in Congo for over 14 years. They support a wide spectrum of girls and women through educational workshops, an orphanage and by educating communities about children's rights. TG foundation initiatives include work to prepare young people to build a peaceful future through training and educational workshops, which include carpentry, sewing, photography and much more.

You can support this fundraiser by:

- Purchasing a ticket from Eventbrite, and attending the performance gala on May 24th

- Bidding or purchasing a raffle ticket for the pledged goods and services

- Donating a sum of money you can afford

- Pledging your product or service for the fundraiser

- Pledging your performance for the gala show (Actor/ Singer/ Musician/ Comedian/ Poet/ Magician/ Dancer/ Contortionist...) - Auditions apply

- Sharing it over the 40 days, on your social media!

- Raising awareness by posting one creative post about these women's experiences, once a week until the May 25th.
