Story

Hello everyone,

I am thrilled to be participating in the Great North Run 2025, a half marathon event that holds a special place in my heart. I am raising funds for the British Heart Foundation, an organisation dedicated to reducing the impact of heart and circulatory diseases. The BHF's relentless efforts have already made a significant difference, but there is still much work to be done. Every day, countless lives are affected by these conditions, and it is our collective support that enables the BHF to drive groundbreaking research and provide vital resources.

In September 2023, I experienced a heart attack. The guidance and knowledge I received from the British Heart Foundation were invaluable in understanding my situation and formulating a path to recovery. This experience has ignited a deep sense of gratitude within me, motivating me to contribute towards their mission. The research conducted by the BHF in areas such as coronary heart disease has the potential to transform countless lives.

I urge you to join me in this endeavor by contributing what you can. Even a small donation can make a significant impact - just £24 could fund two hours of research by an early career scientist. Together, let's strive towards our target of £500 and make a meaningful difference in the fight against heart and circulatory diseases.
