150th 5km Park Run · 14 April 2023

St. Mary’s seeks to be a Church that is “inspired by God’s passion for the World” – which means we are called to serve one another, and the community around us, with the self-giving love that we see in Jesus Christ. We value diversity, and St. Mary’s is a place where all are welcome – young and old, married, single and divorced, committed believers along with the curious, the wounded or disillusioned. We are a place of new hope and second chances, thanks be to God …

In October 2013, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I received treatment in August 2014. In October 2015, I decided, as part of my recovery, happily supported by my family, to start doing 5km Park Runs. That decision really helped my path towards remission. Finally. in October 2022, I was discharged from The Royal Surrey Hospital; Praise The Lord. I am so grateful for all the prayers that have been made for me over the years.

Supported by my children, who have joined me in doing Park Runs over the past 7 and half years, I will continue the challenge of reaching my goal of achieving 150 Park Runs and I would like to raise some money for St. Mary's Church South Aisle Project to celebrate it.

I would be very grateful if you would like to donate to support the project.
