I'm running in support of the Dorset County Hospital Charity and their appeal to raise funds for facilities for families of patients at the new Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit. The plans include rooms for relatives to get some well-deserved rest and privacy.

I'm running the most legendary marathon in history, starting in Marathon and finishing in the old Olympic stadium in Athens - Sunday 9 November. But I want to do more than just run for myself. I want to run a message, just like the 'day runners' did in classical times: running the news from town to town.
