Ed and Ryan are running to raise money in memory of Ryan’s beautiful mother Lainey who sadly passed from Mouth Cancer in 2024.

Elaine, Lainey to some, was a local legend round Bordon. Having run the local green grocers, being a florist and face of the Shell garage her work ethic was inspiring. There wasn’t a face or name she didn’t make the effort to know. Unsurprisingly she was loved by everyone who met her and she was rarely seen without a huge smile.

She always put everyone else first and this is why Ryan and Ed are raising money for this amazing charity in the aim to help support anyone else that endures this awful disease.

Now Lainey wouldn't be surprised by the mammoth task the boys have taken on, knowing they both like a challenge but swapping pints for pavement maybe a little more shocking 🫣❤️

Ryan and Ed have been partners in crime for 7 years, firstly competing at work to now the Southampton Marathon. Pints to pavement was created from their love of beers to the millennial urge to take up running, perfect match 🤝
