Running for a Cause: My Journey to the 6 Star World Marathon Majors and Supporting NSPCC

Some people run for medals. Some run for personal bests. I run for something far greater—hope, protection, and a future for children who need it most.

My name is Piotr, and I’m on a mission to complete one of the most prestigious challenges in the world of long-distance running: the 6 Star World Marathon Majors. That means crossing the finish lines in Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City—each one a test of endurance, grit, and heart.

But this journey isn’t just about ticking off races or collecting medals. It’s about making every mile matter.

That’s why I’ve chosen to run in support of the NSPCC, the UK’s leading charity fighting to end child abuse and neglect. Every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, loved, and heard. Sadly, that’s not the reality for many. The NSPCC works tirelessly to change that—through helplines, therapy, school programs, and advocacy. And they need our help.

As someone who has always found strength and joy in sport, I believe in the power of pushing limits—not just physically, but in what we can achieve together. Running has taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of community. Now, I want to channel that passion into something bigger than myself.

Each marathon I run is a tribute to the children we’re fighting for. Each training session, each early morning run, each aching muscle is a reminder of the privilege I have—and the responsibility I feel—to make a difference.
