Story
👟 On Friday 5th September, I’ll be taking part in a half marathon hike to support the Vodafone Foundation’s Step for Schools challenge!
Throughout this event, we’re raising funds for the Foundation’s long-term partner UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, to help more refugee children and young people access quality digital education through the Instant Network Schools (INS) programme.
Any support and donations of any size would be greatly appreciated ❣️

I'm supporting the Step for Schools campaign with Team Vodafone, raising funds to expand Instant Network Schools, a joint programme by Vodafone Foundation and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
Education is not just a fundamental human right; it is a powerful tool for empowerment and a pathway to a better future. Yet across the world, children find themselves caught up in conflicts that have a devastating impact on their lives, and futures. Of the total 14.8 million school-aged refugee children, 49% are estimated to be out of school.
To address this, over 130 Instant Network Schools have connected more than 352,000 young refugees with a quality digital education, and trained over 6,400 teachers and coaches.
Being a refugee is not a choice. Together, we can support refugees so they too have a chance for a brighter future for themselves, their families and their community.
