Story
Pippa's completing her 100th Buggy ParkRun this Saturday! What an achievement...for us both!
- Dad has pushed Pippa 306 miles, or put another way, the distance from Royston to Glasgow!
- Pippa has endured my grunts, dad-jokes** and running banter for a cumulative 36 hours! Enough for anyone...and she's only 4!
- Pippa’s beaten me 99 times (**there ya go)
How do we plan to celebrate this milestone? A nice gentle jog at our favourite and local ParkRun at Wimpole...pah...by swapping our 3-wheeled buggy with a 1-wheeled wheelbarrow of course!
For those who know me, you'll appreciate that there are few things mad enough for me to justify seeking fundraising. However, this - what with my t-rex runners arms and having to support Pippa's weight for a full 5000m, over bumpy terrain and a mahoosive* hill - feels justifiable!
The cause...Pippa is starting "big school" this week but was extremely lucky to be have been part of Therfield Village Pre-school for the past few years. As we move on to exciting next steps, it's a perfect opportunity to do something a little bit mad, and hopefully raise a bit of money to say thank you for giving Pippa such a great start and enable tomorrow's young kids to share Pippa's pre-school experience.
*for Cambridgeshire!
