At PJCO, we believe that teamwork doesn’t stop at the office door - and our commitment to this charity walk proves just that.

On 7th August 2026, the PJCO team will be swapping desks for walking boots and setting off from our Lancing offices with one shared goal: to walk all the way to Arundel Castle in support of the incredible charity, Esteem.

It'll take us some seven to eight hours to reach our destination but we know that every step we take could help a young adult find a place they belong, improve their confidence and gain important opportunities.

As one of the last remaining open access youth centres in Sussex, Esteem provides a warm, non-judgemental community space for around 270 children and young people from across Sussex each year, many of whom face complex challenges.

The charity offers a supportive environment where young people can form peer connections and access the personalised support they need. Over time, they develop the capacity to discover their value, purpose and potential to thrive, and go on to make a meaningful contribution to others around them (their peers, families and communities).
