Story
I'm excited to be taking part in the Vodafone Step for Schools challenge by running 10k on Friday, 5 September 2025. This initiative supports education in vulnerable communities through the Instant Network Schools programme.
Together with the entire Vodafone Group Data & Analytics team, I'm proud to support the Step for Schools campaign as part of Team Vodafone, raising funds to expand Instant Network Schools—a joint programme by the Vodafone Foundation and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
Education is not just a fundamental human right; it is a powerful tool for empowerment and a pathway to a better future. Yet across the world, children find themselves caught up in conflicts that have a devastating impact on their lives, and futures. Of the total 14.8 million school-aged refugee children, 49% are estimated to be out of school.
To address this, over 130 Instant Network Schools have connected more than 352,000 young refugees with a quality digital education, and trained over 6,400 teachers and coaches.
Being a refugee is not a choice. Together, we can support refugees so they too have a chance for a brighter future for themselves, their families and their community.
