As a music teacher, I have had the privilege of teaching many talented students over the years. One of my students, a teenager from Donegal named Leanne, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and has been undergoing treatment.

Despite her illness, Leanne's passion for music never wavered. She expressed her wish to have a new piano accordion that would satisfy all her needs going forward with her music. Thanks to Make-A-Wish® Ireland, Leanne's wish came true when she received a fabulous top-of-the-range Piano Accordion in late 2023. Her Mum said “Thanks again so much for this. I can't tell you how much it means to her and us. It was the boost she needed.”

To show my gratitude and help Make-A-Wish® Ireland make many more wishes come true for sick children like Leanne, I am organising a 10 hour Playathon on Sunday 25th February 2024 at Maggie's Tavern Carrigans Donegal from 1pm to 11pm.

The event is a personal challenge where I will be playing music along with many musician friends & singers for ten hours straight! All musicians/singers are welcome to come on the day & play for as long as they wish to.

I am hoping to raise £3,500 through this event and your support would mean everything in helping me achieve this goal. Every donation counts towards making every wish come true just like Leanne's because for a child with cancer, hope is essential.
