The Gurkha Welfare Trust ensures that Gurkha veterans, their widows and their wider communities are able to live with dignity in Nepal, through the provision of financial, medical and community aid

“I'm proud and honoured that my colleagues at Plexus have chosen to raise money for a charity very close to my heart: the Gurkha Welfare Trust.

As the son and grandson of Gurkha soldiers and officers, I've seen the difference the GWT makes to veterans and their families. While my father was stationed in Nepal, I volunteered at the GWT's headquarters and saw firsthand the medical care, housing and clean water it provides.

These are veterans who have served and fought for Britain for over 200 years, in countless conflicts. Who are living in the poorest of conditions with natural disasters and a poor quality of life. To see such brave soldiers not have the basic amenities is heartbreaking.

As a proud son of Gurkhas, I would not be where I am in life - let alone working at Plexus without them. Any amount donated, however small, makes a real difference.
