My father passed away with MND 19 Years ago when the disease was not so well known. My mother cared for my father and the determinatioin to allow him to retain his dignity as the disease progressed. At the final stages MND stepped and the help from Doreen who was the MND nurse was invaluable. She prepared my family and as painful it was to watch and also extremely frightening we knew my father David was safe and even relaxed. He passed away at my mother house peacefully with his family.
