Story
Every Pokémon GO community day, London based university Pokémon societies do a Pokémon GO walk. This time, in the spirit of charity, we are organising a competition. It costs £2 to enter (participants can donate more than two pounds) and it is a shiny catching competition. The person who catches the most shinies wins a prize.
This month, we are fundraising for the London Wildlife Trust to support nature conservation across the capital. This is an important issue as London’s wild spaces are under pressure from development and the needs of a growing population. Yet they’re a vital contributor to our health and wellbeing – these Pokémon GO walks have always been a time for us to come together during the busyness of term and by hanging out in a park together, many of us have found solace. What's more is that our city is facing a climate and ecological emergency.
