I will be taking part in the Manchester half marathon in October which was a goal I set myself at the beginning of the year having never run before! To make all the hours of training worth it I’ve decided to raise money for the amazing charity Every Month who are based locally in Manchester and trying to tackle period poverty so everyone has access to sanitary products. Each month they help 800 people by providing them with free menstrual products. This is a side to living on the poverty line I think a lot of us forget about or can’t even imagine, having to think about if you can afford such a necessity, and no one should have to live like that.
