Story
Recently some dear friends of mine welcomed their identical twin girls into the world, Polly and Annie, at Worcester Hospital. Unfortunately, soon after their arrival, Polly was diagnosed with a previously undetected but life-limiting heart condition. This difficult news has challenged their family in many ways, but the Worcester Neonatal Unit, along with their team of doctors and nurses, have been a tremendous support and have lovingly guided them through this unexpected and difficult time.
For this reason I have decided I would like to raise money for the Worcester Neonatal Unit, so that they can continue to go above and beyond in providing support for families whose babies are born prematurely or are experiencing equally as challenging times.
I will be completing a full distance triathlon in Roth, Germany (Challenge Roth) on the 6th of July in honour Annie and Polly and the wonderful care they were given whilst in the Worcester Neonatal Unit. Your donations are very much appreciated and will help to make others' experience of the neonatal unit that much more comfortable.
The Worcestershire Neonatal Unit Fund is part of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity and aims to fund new equipment, research, patient comforts and family accommodation at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
