Poo Plod Fundraiser for Shaftesbury Victoria School

Carmela Chillery-Watson is raising money for Shaftesbury

Poo Plod · 23 June 2025

Shaftesbury is the charity that's committed to enabling people with disabilities to live the life they want to lead. We work helping people to tackle the barriers they face and create a livable life. We believe that the people we support have the right to a full and flourishing life.

Story

Carmela is very excited to be fundraising for her school - Shaftesbury Victoria School as one of her chosen events this year she wants to help.

It is on Monday 23rd June 9am

Carmela attends Shaftesbury Victoria School in Branksome, which has some children and young adults unable to go to the toilet independently, including herself.

So, Carmela, dressed as a toilet, mum as a big inflatable poo! and support from some teachers, pupils and parents are dressing up with toilet themed outfits, will be walking from school to Bournemouth Pier and back again for 5 miles, to help fundraise at least £9000 to fund 2 wash/dry Geberit toilets.

Carmela has called it The Poo Plod

If there are any local companies in Dorset able to support with sponsorship, that would be absolutely amazing.

Thank you
