ME Research UK exists solely to fund high quality biomedical studies into ME/CFS. Our funded research suggests that in excess of 400,000 people in the UK have ME/CFS but it is neither well understood nor, in many cases, properly recognised. We invest in the best research we can globally.

Story

We are participating in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on 15th September (21miles) to raise crucial funds for ME Research UK, a charity dedicated to advancing research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). ME, also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), is a debilitating illness that affects thousands of individuals worldwide, yet remains poorly understood.

Our goal is to support ME Research UK in their mission to fund biomedical research that seeks to uncover the underlying causes of ME/CFS, develop effective treatments, and ultimately find a cure. By raising awareness and funds through the Edinburgh Kiltwalk, we aim to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by ME/CFS and contribute to advancements in scientific understanding and patient care.

Join us in our journey to make a difference and support vital research that has the potential to transform the lives of millions.

Together, we can create hope for a future without ME/CFS.
