Poppa’s Plodders fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Poppas Plodders is raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK
In memory of Richard Everett

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 · 12 April 2026 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Although this page is currently titled “London Landmarks,” it will remain open and continue to be used for multiple events as part of our ongoing fundraising journey.

Now that the London Landmarks Half Marathon is complete, next up is the Hackney Half on May 17th, with many more events already in the pipeline. As a team, we are committed to taking on at least one challenge every year in loving memory of our incredible Poppa, Richard Everett.

Poppa was the heart of our family – kind, strong, and full of warmth and wisdom. Everything we do is to honour his legacy, keep his memory alive, and raise vital funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer.

We’ll continue to take on a range of challenges, from half marathons and marathons to events like Tough Mudder and beyond. Every step we take is for him, and for the families who need hope.

Thank you for your continued support – it truly means everything. ❤️

Pancreatic Cancer UK: We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.

We bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten.
