🏃‍♂️ I’m running the London Marathon 2027 for my daughter ❤️

I’ve decided to take on the London Marathon 2027, and I’m doing it for someone who gives me more motivation than she will ever realise — my daughter, Poppy.

Poppy has Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA), a rare inherited retinal condition that affects her vision and has resulted in her being born blind. As her dad, I would give anything to be able to take away the challenges that come with her condition and give her the same opportunities that every child deserves.

So, I’m going to run 26.2 miles for her.

I’ll be raising money for Retina UK, a charity that is incredibly important to our family. Retina UK supports people and families affected by inherited sight loss, providing information, advice and support, while also funding vital medical research aimed at better understanding these conditions and developing treatments for the future.

Retina UK has invested more than £18 million into medical research since it was founded, while supporting thousands of people affected by inherited sight loss.

Hopefully every pound we raise will help towards a future where children like Poppy have more answers, more support and, one day, better treatments.
