Story
This page has been established to raise money to support the Port Isaac Lifeboat Station Appeal.
The original Port Isaac Lifeboat Station was established in 1869 but was closed in 1933. The Lifeboat Station was reopened in 1967 and has been housed in the old garage to of the Slipway Hotel since 1994.
The facilities are very cramped and are not suitable to running a modern lifeboat service.
This Appeal has been launched to fund the £900,000 cost of renovating the existing lifeboat station which will house the stations D-Class lifeboat and provide modern facilities, which include dedicated changing facilities, workshop, while the nearby Cottage will be converted to provide training, and crew welfare facilities along with a RNLI Shop.
