Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's AND Vascular Dementia in August 2025 and to get her motivated and keep her active, we reached out to the Portchester Dementia Care Hub in the Westlands Community Centre to see what they could do and to be honest from the 1st day she went, we have not looked back!

The Hub have been absolutely AMAZING and we wanted to do something to help them to continue to support our community and raise the much needed money to support their endeavours.

So as we are two determined women, we have taken on the challenge to "Trek the Sahara Desert" between the 10-17 October to raise money for this fabulous cause.

In preparation for the walk, we will also be completing long training walks each month as well as a sponsored static cycle in Portchester precinct this July!
