The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a sailing charity that works with young people who have been affected by cancer. They believe that by getting young people outdoors, on the water, they can improve their wellbeing and purpose after having gone through tough times. They also offer young people who have had cancer the chance to spend time with others who have been, or are going through the same thing. They have supported over 3,500 young people to get out on the water and this number is growing everyday. This campaign will help the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust offer life-changing sailing adventures, building confidence and resilience in young people recovering from cancer treatment.

We will be completing a 24hr Row-A-Thon on Wednesday 16th July, starting at 9am and then finishing at 9am, on Thursday 17th July. Throughout the 24hrs we will be attempting to virtually row over 300km which totals over 3 laps around the Isle of Wight, a journey taken by many of the young people participating in sails run by the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.

Can't take part at the marina? Why not join in at home or at the gym?

1) Do your row between 9am on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday at home or in the gym

2) Take a photo of your end distance

3) Email it to portland@boatfolk.co.uk so we can add it to our tally!
