Fundraising For Prostate Cancer Research & Testing

Portsmouth FC is raising money for PCASO

Football Match · 5 May 2025

PCaSO Prostate Cancer Support Organisation is a patient support group covering Dorset, Hampshire and Sussex. We support patients and their families. We spread awareness of the risks of prostate cancer through our publications and PSA testing events. We are run by patients for patients.

Story

Pompey Legends will take on an Alan Knight Celebrity XI in a special match at Fratton Park on Monday, May 5. Kick off 2pm

The contest is being staged to raise awareness of prostate cancer and help raise funds for both research and testing.

It comes after club legend Alan Knight sadly revealed back in October 2024 that he had been diagnosed with the disease.

Any profits from the match will benefit local charity PCaSO, as well as Prostate Cancer UK and the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal.

We have also set up this Just Giving page for those either unable to attend the match or who wish to make a donation to PCaSO

PCaSO is a local charity looking to raise money to fund equipment at Queen Alexander Hospital in Cosham, Portsmouth.
