Our incredible supporters are coming together for Purple Day on 26 March to fundraise and help create a world without limits for people living with epilepsy. And you can join them!

Story

Did you know that every single day, around 79 people in the UK hear the words, “You have epilepsy”?

And for many of them, one of the very first thoughts is: “Is my life over?”

Will I be limited? Slowed down? Held back?

I know that's exactly how I felt.

But here’s what epilepsy has taught me, often the hard way and occasionally face-first.

Life doesn’t stop after a diagnosis.

In fact, people with epilepsy can achieve just as much as anyone else. My resilience empowers me.

It's true that seizures can knock us off our feet. Literally and figuratively. During and after one, moving or functioning normally can be tough. But for many of us, epilepsy does not define what we’re physically or mentally capable of achieving.

I also know that when someone watches a loved one have a seizure, even a single second can feel like an eternity.

So, for 28 days leading up to March 26th 2026, I’ll be doing something that also feels like an eternity…

👉 Holding a plank every day (increasing the time daily) to raise awareness and funds for epilepsy.

Because a one-minute plank, much like a one-minute seizure, can feel like an absolute lifetime.

I’m aiming to raise at least £500 to support people affected by epilepsy. Helping ensure they receive the support, education, and care they need when they need it most.

Whether you can share, learn about seizure safety or donate, everything genuinely makes a difference, and gives me extra motivation not to collapse dramatically mid-plank.

Together, we can help people take control of epilepsy and live full, fearless lives.

Thank you so much for your support ❤️
