Doddie’s Oui Doddle is the 2027 edition of Rob Wainwright and Mark Beaumont’s fundraising ride for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. Since 2018, the events have raised over £4.5 million. In 2027, riders will cycle from Edinburgh to Paris via Twickenham.

Story

After the success of our 2025 challenge, we’ve decided that once clearly wasn’t enough… so Doddie’5 Puggled Pedallers are back on their bikes!

In February 2027, we’ll be taking on Doddie’s Oui Doddle — a huge cycling challenge from Edinburgh to London and then on to Paris, supporting Rob Wainwright, Mark Beaumont and their team as they carry two match balls between three iconic rugby venues: Murrayfield, Twickenham and Stade de France.

We’ll set off from Edinburgh on Wednesday 17th February and cycle our way to London, arriving on the morning of Saturday 20th. After dropping off the match ball at Twickenham, there’ll be no time to put our feet up — we’ll then embark on a mad dash to Paris, with less than 24 hours to reach the Stade de France!

Having taken part in Doddie’5 Grand Tour in 2025, we know exactly how tough these challenges can be. The miles are long, the sleep is short and the legs will undoubtedly be questioning some of our life choices! But after the incredible experience of 2025, we couldn’t resist getting the team back together and taking on another monumental challenge.

Most importantly, we’re doing it to support the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and its fight against Motor Neuron Disease (MND).

The fundraising journey behind these challenges has already raised more than £4.5 million for the Foundation — an incredible achievement, but there is still so much more to do. MND remains a devastating disease, with no cure and limited treatment options. We’ve seen first-hand the brutality of MND and the devastating impact it has on individuals, families and friends.

So, once again, we’re stepping well outside our comfort zone, getting back in the saddle and hoping to raise as much as we possibly can for this incredibly important cause.

Your support means a huge amount to us. Whether you donate, share our fundraising page, or simply follow and encourage us along the way, every bit of support will help keep us pedalling when the legs start to hurt!

Thank you for getting behind us.
