Story
We are Alice, Anita, Delani (Breeze Champion), Naina, Pragna (Breeze Champion and cycling coach), and Sheela—a group of women with an average age of 60 cycling from Lewes to Paris or London to Paris on 6 June to 14 June! Two of us are ex-NHS, and we all met through Breeze Let's Ride, https://www.letsride.co.uk/groups/inspiring-adventure, a program offering free rides for women to build confidence and skills on the bike.
Breeze rides helped us grow as cyclists. Delani, who started as a beginner, is now a Champion herself! These rides welcome everyone, offering different distances to suit all levels. Our local charity club, Harrow Cycle Hub offers coaching for beginners, confidence boosters, and even adapted cycling for those who need it. (Check them out at https://www.harrowcyclehub.org).
We hope our adventure inspires more women, especially those from ethnic minorities, to take up cycling. It’s not just about fitness; it’s about confidence, resilience, and teamwork. Follow us as we pedal to Paris and feel free to reach out if you’d like to join a similar journey!
