Pratik's cycle across India in support of Sightsavers

Pratik Shah is raising money for Sightsavers

Cycling across India · 7 February 2025

Sightsavers' vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes and where visually impaired people participate equally in society.

Story

🎊 New year, new challenge 🚴🏾‍♂️

🇮🇳 In less than a month I'll be cycling east to west across India - 850km in 8 days.

I’ll be navigating the chaos of India’s roads in the sweltering heat (30+ degrees), starting out in Chennai in the East of India (Bay of Bengal), and pedalling my way through southern India until I reach the finish line in Kochi on the West coast (Arabian Sea). As I cycle further west I’ll enter the mountainous region of the Western Ghats with daily climbs reaching 2000m .

Funds raised will help restore eyesight and prevent avoidable blindness for hundreds of people across Asia and Africa.

💚 Riding in memory of dad (Dhiren Shah), 5 years since his passing.
