Running The Big Half for Alzheimer's Society - "Every Step Brings Us Closer to a Cure."

Pratik Raj Khadka is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

The Big Half 2026 · 6 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, I am running London’s Big Half (21km) to raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. I am incredibly proud to represent the Nepalese community UK group, with the generous support of my team at Layana Spa.

Dementia is a cruel condition that steals precious memories and strips away independence. I am stepping up to ensure no family has to walk this difficult path alone.

How your donation directly makes a difference:

🔬 £300 funds a specialized lab visit for 20 patients and carers to meet the world-leading scientists working on a cure.

👥 Critical Guidance: Connects struggling families with expert Dementia Advisers and 7-day national helplines.

🔬 Research & Campaigning:Directly invests in vital research to halt memory loss.

Every single pound keeps me motivated through my tough summer training and brings us closer to a cure.

Thank you so much for your generosity, your kindness, and your support!
