Presdales School's fundraiser for Isabel Hospice

Presdales School is raising money for Isabel Hospice
In memory of Sam Rowe

Presdales School Isabel Hospice Colour Run · 5 November 2026

Isabel Hospice exists to journey alongside people during some of life's most difficult times. Offering expert compassionate care, advice and support those living with progressive, life-limiting illnesses. Our care is free of charge to those who need it, but it is not without cost.

Story

In February 2026, our dear teacher Ms Sam Rowe, lost her life to cancer. For almost 20 years at Presdales, she worked tirelessly for her students and was a great friend and colleague. Sam was also a passionate and very accomplished runner.

In memory of Sam, Presdales students will take part in a 2km cross-country course on school grounds in order to raise money for Isabel Hospice. During the route students will be showered with brightly coloured powder paint , in what promises to be a bright and joyful celebration of Ms Rowe and our fabulous school community. The event will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 5th November.

Sam spent the last few weeks of her life being cared for by the wonderful staff at the Isabel Hospice. Please consider donating to our fundraising page to support this amazing charity and allow them to continue their irreplaceable work. Any amount, big or small, will give us a much needed boost.

Isabel Hospice provides palliative support to the 370,000 people who live in eastern Hertfordshire.

Hospice care is about helping people to live well for as long as possible and have a good death in the place of their choice when the time comes. Without your help, Isabel Hospice could not make this possible for their patients and their families. Each year they care for approximately 2,000 people but we know there are even more people that need their help.
