Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Gordon Snedden, Shana Sivakumar and Guilherme Cameira are taking part in the Great Scottish Run 2023 (10k) to fundraise for LEAP Sports.

LEAP Sports Scotland (Leadership, Equality and Active Participation in Sports for LGBTI people in Scotland) works for greater inclusion for LGBTI people in sport and against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in a sports context. LEAP is committed to breaking down the structural, social and personal barriers which prevent lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people across the country from accessing, participating and excelling in Scottish sports.

In particular, this fundraiser is for LEAP's project "Just Active", as part of the Well-being for Longer in Glasgow fund 2023-2025. LEAP will be working with LGBTIQ+ refugees and asylum seekers, living in Glasgow, who are interested in getting active, participating in sports, socialising and feeling connected to their local communities.
