Story
In 2026, the Prime Mix team is proudly supporting charities close to the hearts of our team members. Our first charity is Mesothelioma UK.
This event is held in memory of Christina’s dad, Michael, who sadly passed away in 2021 from mesothelioma, a lung cancer caused by asbestos exposure.
Around 2,700 people in the UK are diagnosed with mesothelioma each year.
About 2,200–2,300 deaths from mesothelioma are recorded in the UK every year.
Only a small percentage survive long-term: fewer than 5% of people with mesothelioma survive for five years or more after diagnosis.

Mesothelioma UK is the national charity for anyone affected by mesothelioma, a preventable cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. They exist to support people with mesothelioma to live better and live longer and to prevent mesothelioma happening to future generations. They do this by advocating for better treatment and care, enhancing quality of life, supporting research and amplifying the patient’s voice.
Through this fundraiser, we aim to raise awareness of the risks of asbestos and support the vital work Mesothelioma UK carries out in communities across the UK.
