Story

I am raising money for The Sick Children’s Trust, by running the London Marathon in 2027 to give back to this amazing charity.

In 2024, I faced one of the hardest and scariest times. We were told Sahalee needed heart surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

When your child is poorly and needs major surgery, nothing else matters apart from being there for them.

During this time, The Sick Children’s Trust helped us in a way we will never forget. They gave us a ‘home from home’, just moments away from GOSH, so we could stay close to her while she was in hospital.

They also made it possible for our other daughter, Millie, to come and stay with us, meaning we could keep our family together when we needed each other most. Having somewhere to stay, somewhere to rest and somewhere to be together made such a huge difference during an incredibly difficult time. It’s something we will always be grateful for.

That’s why I’ve decided to take on the London Marathon to raise money for The Sick Children’s Trust. I wanted to give something back to a charity that was there for us and many other families when we needed it most.

Running 26.2 miles will be a massive challenge, but when I think about what our family went through and the support we received, it gives me a real reason to keep going.

There are so many families facing similar situations, worrying about their children and spending long periods in hospital. I want to help The Sick Children’s Trust continue providing that home from home, keeping families together and supporting them through some of the hardest days of their lives.

This one is personal. ❤️

I’m running for my amazing girls and to say a massive thank you to a charity that helped us through one of the toughest times.

If you’re able to donate anything at all, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help other families receive the support that meant so much to us.

Thank you for reading my story and supporting me on this journey. It really does mean the world to me. ❤️
