Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Along with my friends Theo and Seb, On the 18th September I will be setting off on a 600km cycle from Dusseldorf to Berlin to raise money for Prior's Court Foundation, with the hope to finish on the 25th September. We are raising money for Prior's Court as the wonderful staff there have supported my younger brother, Felix, for the past 9 years - Felix has autism and additional complex needs, and lives and learns at Prior's Court.

Felix first moved to Priors Court from his local SEN school at the age of 11, when his educational, psychological and emotional needs were at their most complex. At the time, Felix struggled in many aspects of his life. His speech and language was severely delayed and he had complex behavioural issues such as dealing with self harm and meltdowns, learning how to eat with a knife and fork, learning how to wait in line and understanding abstract concepts such as sharing.

Although Felix still struggles at the age of 20, he has made huge improvements in every aspect of his development, which wouldn't have been possible without Prior's Court's exceptional environment.

Your kind donation will help to fund a refurbishment of the onsite multi-sensory building at Prior's Court. This facility has a huge impact on the young people at Prior's Court, including Felix, in reducing anxieties, managing regulation and providing sensory input, however it is in desperate need of refurbishment, you can read more about this appeal here.

Thank you so much for reading my page and for your donation.
