Story
The boys of The Priory were moved and engaged by the story of Hannah told in Repton School Chapel by her mother at the start of the Lent term. They seek to complete 24 hours of continuous sport played as a house across the weekend of 15th and 16th March 2025 taking on every sport that the school and house offers for an hour apiece. This will involve those participating having their endurance tested with lots of activity, some of it very arduously and playing at very anti-social hours to raise funds for Hannah's Hope.
Around 250 hours’ worth of activity will be needed across the 24 hours from the collective to complete this challenge.
Draft schedule below (each sport will last an hour).
Saturday: 5pm Indoor Cricket, 6pm Swimming, 7pm Badminton, 8pm Indoor Football, 9pm Basketball, 10pm Yard Football, 11pm Fencing
Sunday: Midnight Fitness Class, 1am Table Tennis, 2am Darts, 3am Pool, 4am E-Sports, 5am Fives, 6am Golf, 7am Tennis, 8am X-Country, 9am Athletics, 10am Squash, 11am Rounders, 12 noon Touch Rugby, 1pm Futsal, 2pm Hockey, 3pm Netball, 4pm Garden Football
Monies raised will go towards building respite lodges for teenage cancer sufferers at Willington Marina used during the point in their journey in which they are out of hospital.
We hope to be joined by Hannah and her mother Gail at the finale in the garden on the 16th so that the boys can meet these inspirational people.
