Story
In memory of our Babaji/Dad/Pops who we sadly lost unexpectedly to a brain haemorrhage on November 13, 2025. Our family are completing the Warwick Half Marathon and my sister is hiking in Dubai in his honour, with a goal to raise £600 shortly after the race on February 1, 2026. Every penny raised goes directly to The Brain Charity, supporting their vital work for people living with neurological conditions and their families. Whether we are running or walking, every step is for Babaji/Dad/Pops. If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me and my family.
Below are some special words from his son, Dal Bains:
What can I say about this truly remarkable human being who graced us with his presence, humour, and love throughout my life? It was an immense pleasure and a privilege to be the one who had the right to call him "Dad."
In my eyes, he was the greatest person I could have ever met. My father by birth, but my mentor by faith and support; his conversation was that of the best friend anyone could wish for. God, I miss you so much. It is a deep pain in my heart not to have had that one last conversation with you.
We always talked about never passing judgment. You just said it as it was, and I took note; I followed your advice. Those conversations are now the solace in my heart. Only such an amazing person could leave behind such an important memory of himself - and that is your legacy.
I will always endeavour to hold your heart with me on a daily basis: your work ethic, your devotion to family, staying true to yourself, and helping others feel good about themselves.
You might be shocked and surprised to see that your son is now running (or maybe walking!) in memory of your beautiful spirit. To all your loved ones here today: we know this effort is just an indication of how much you are loved as a father and a grandad. Even when we aren't thinking of your cheeky wink, you are loved to the moon and back.
I know you are shining bright today, giving us a "thumbs up" from the skies to say, "Well done."
Love you lots, Pops
