As I'm firmly in my 30's now, my hobbies include a nice walk. I've decided to be slightly extreme and sign myself up for the Isle of Wight challenge. On Saturday 3rd May, my colleague, Scarlett, and I will be walking a 100km loop of the Isle of Wight...in ONE day! Call it a quarter(-ish)-life crisis but we're not only challenging ourselves but fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Trust, too.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 11,000 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

The two of us have worked in the events team, at this charity, for nearly 10 years now and our job has given us the privilege to see how Cystic Fibrosis Trust has literally changed the lives of those living with CF. We were able to see life-saving drugs finally become available and permanently approved on the NHS and how much this meant to so many people.

Our job allows us to speak to so many inspirational, strong and determined people, despite the difficulties they face from their condition, every day. This is just a small way for us to be able to give back and help those with CF.

So please do give anything you can to support this cause and think of us on Saturday 3rd May. For those that know me, I'm a sleepy girl, so just managing to stay awake for whole day will be challenge enough for me! I'm sure the thought of finish line wine will keep us going!
