As a parent, I am incredibly fortunate. My children have every opportunity, and I never have to worry about them facing life-threatening conditions. They are healthy, happy, and full of promise for the future. But I know that so many families are not as lucky. That’s why I am stepping out of my comfort zone to raise vital funds for Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, a charity that offers a lifeline to families navigating the unimaginable pain of caring for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

Shooting Star Children’s Hospice provides more than just medical care—it offers families the space, support, and comfort they desperately need during their most difficult moments. It’s a place where memories are made, where joy and peace can still be found, even on the hardest days. The impact of their work is immeasurable, and I’ve seen firsthand the difference they make in the lives of families who need it most.

In recognition of just how privileged my family is, I’ve decided to take on a personal challenge to raise money for this incredible cause. On 13th/14th September 2025, I’ll be walking 100km along the River Thames as part of the Thames Path Challenge. Over the course of two days, I will push my body to its absolute limit. But no matter how tough it gets, I know the families supported by Shooting Star Children’s Hospice are facing challenges far greater than mine. That’s why I need your support—to help me cross that finish line, and to make a difference for those who need it most.

Why am I doing this? Because each step I take will serve as a small reflection of the incredible strength and resilience shown by the children and families facing life-threatening illnesses. This challenge is more than just a walk—it’s a symbol of my commitment to help make life a little easier for those who need it most.
